I'm a celebrant based in Rockhampton.
Wedding ceremonies have been a long standing ritual, but rituals are also a part of our everyday lives. They don't have to be for a grand purpose, it can be as simple as making your partner a cup of coffee every morning. Whatever our rituals are, we do them because they have a special meaning to us, they are significant to our lives & our emotional well being. It is my ultimate goal to provide significance to your ritual, in other words to give meaning, add vibrancy, & make wonderful memories that you'll never forget.

Weddings
This service is for ceremonies with all the bells & whistles. A completely bespoke ceremony where you can collaborate with me to create your perfect day. These types of ceremonies can last anywhere up to 20 min, depending on your style.
Mon - Wed $750
Thu - Sun $800
This is an "unlimited" service where we can meet as frequently as you need to complete your ceremony planning. In person or via video or even just a phone call to discuss ideas. This includes all paperwork preparation & submissions as well as ceremony drafting & vow assistance plus a rehearsal if required.

A non-refundable deposit of $200 is required to secure your date.
Elopements
Perfect for a small-scale wedding with guests up to 20 or just you & your witnesses. These ceremonies are kept simple but intimate, usually around 10 minutes.
Mon - Wed $650
Thu - Sun $700
This includes preparation & submission of legally required documents as well as any required meetings to complete this. A ceremony planning session is available if a non standard script is required or you would like Vow assistance. No rehearsals. Use of PA system & signing table if required.

Legals Only
This is essentially a "court house wedding" but I come to you! Or we can take it on the road. Beach where you had your first date? Let's go!
Mon - Fri $350
Sat - Sun $400
This is as the name suggests, completing the legal portion of the marriage only. This consists of 2 witnesses & no guests. The ceremony itself is the mandatory wording only, however, you are always welcome to include personal vows beforehand. A meeting is required no less than one month* prior to your chosen date. Witnesses can also be arranged with enough notice.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's the first step to get married?
Let's meet! To get the ball rolling, we need to complete what's called a Notice Of Intended Marriage, which is required 1 month prior to the ceremony. This is also where we get all the details and the first of some legal obligations, such as identity and eligibility. All bookings and deposits will be covered in the meeting too!
What do we do pre-ceremony?
Once we have all the initial paper work sorted, it might be a while before we need to speak again. I will send a reminder about a month out from your date so we can create your ceremony! Depending on what you and your partner have chosen, this is when we put the pen to paper and channel our inner Shakespeare at your ceremony planning session. There are personal questionnaires to help get the creative juices flowing plus the Rehearsal if you're having one.
What happens on the big day?
The day before, I'll be in touch confirm any last details and give you my ETA. This is usually when Murphy's law happens, so we will also discuss any plan B's for the day. Upon my arrival I will check in with the venue staff (if any) and complete my set up. Once it's all done, I'll collect the remaining paperwork, pack up and ride into the sunset!
Officially Married! now what?
Congratulations! There are only a few things on the agenda, but this meeting can definitely be an email. I will let you know when I have completed your registration (within 14 days) so you can apply for your official marriage certificate. (This is a separate application and fee that can be completed online via a link Births, Deaths & Marriages will send you.) Once you receive this in the post, you can use it for proof of marriage or to change your name.
